1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
4 slices toast (or gluten free toast)
1 small onion diced
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
2 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Sauce:
• 1/4 cup reduced sugar ketchup
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 cup tomato paste
• 1 tablespoon mustard
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Saute onion and garlic until cooked. Wet bread in water until wet but not soaked. Combine the rest of the meatloaf ingredients and form into a loaf.
Mix the ingredients for the sauce. Apply half of the mixture on top of the loaf
Bake for 30 minutes and remove from the oven for the rest of the sauce. Bake an additional 20 minutes.
Let sit 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Remove the bread from the bottom of each slice of meatloaf before serving
I used an air fryer. I set the fryer at 360 and put the loaf into a small glass pyrex (this recipe split in half). I put it in for 8 minutes then added the rest of the sauce for an additional 5. The top was a bit brown so be sure to check it. Every air fryer is different. Serves 6
* each portion should be based on your protein needs. 4-6 ounces
* Add: Serve with steamed veggies or cauliflower rice.
