### **Cottage Cheese Stuffed Peppers – Step-by-Step Directions**


Ingredients:

  • 8 green peppers

  • 2 cups cottage cheese

  • 1.5 lb cooked chicken breast (shredded or diced)

  • 2 cups marinara sauce

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Optional basil chopped



Directions:


1. Preheat & Prep

- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)

- Slice the tops off the green peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.


2. Prepare the Filling

- In a large bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, cooked chicken, and 1 cup of marinara sauce until well combined.


3. Stuff the Peppers

- Fill each green pepper with the cottage cheese and chicken mixture, packing it in evenly.


4. Top with Sauce & Cheese

- Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and pour the remaining 1 cup of marinara sauce over the top.

- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and basil evenly over each stuffed pepper.



5. Bake

- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

- Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
