Start your day with the ultimate comfort breakfast: Crack Breakfast Casserole. Perfect for weekend brunch or any special morning, this dish is a mouthwatering combination of savory breakfast sausage, gooey cheddar cheese, and creamy eggs, all layered over a crispy bed of golden hash browns. It's the perfect blend of hearty flavors and textures to fuel your morning!


Ingredients:

  • 1 pound chicken sausage, cooked and crumbled

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt

  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1 (32 oz) package frozen hash browns, thawed

  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper






Directions:

  1. Preheat and Prep: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking dish.

  2. Combine Sausage and Greek Yogurt: In a large bowl, mix the cooked sausage with yogurt until well combined.

  3. Add Eggs and Seasonings: Incorporate eggs, milk, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper into the sausage mixture. Whisk well.

  4. Fold in Hash Browns and Onions: Gently mix in the hash browns and green onions.

  5. Bake: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and set.
